We need another striker, left back and centre mid or this season is going to fizzle out like a wet fanny fart.

My honest opinion is that we made two defensive errors to lose tonight's match. We didn't lose the game in midfield, either. I'm certainly not going to go OTT in any criticism of our players. We've come on in leaps and bounds this season and I see a huge improvement on the last campaign.

A briefer review.

Swansea are a very good team. Solid defensively with inventiveness up front. We are quite a way off from being able to complete with them at the minute. The next few games are tough we should expect more of the same but there are plenty of teams we can compete with this season in this league. Oh and we should have kept James. His loss is pretty big.

 

I was thinking of disagreeing with your opinion, but then I noticed that you put "Fact" after your post. So obviously there's no point in challenging your view.

 

Rubbish to criticize Kane tonight when far more experienced players had no impact, let's give Kane time to settle or we will go round in circles with our bargain hunting policy.

 

I've suddenly realised that I've been doing the BBS wrong for 20 years or more. Up to now, I've read the words on my computer screen, thought about it, and occasionally typed a reply based on what I thought. Normally I just pour another beer and ignore it.

I didn't realise that if someone wrote 'fact' I had to totally change my opinion immediately.

And if anyone would have offered us 10th midway through January they would've snapped their hand off

We'll play better and lose and play worse and win and we're a very young team who will make more mistakes but hopefully will continue to learn from and grow

 

Workman-like, not very watchable, sometimes effective, sometimes not. I think we have squad that could play better football but when they did they got worse results! Which is why, I guess, we have this vertical style and percentage play.

 

My favourite player but for me tonight he looked off it.

We’re 10th , just lost to a side who have the best defensive record in all divisions and are 2nd by 4 points , but looked equal to them most of the game , granted not the best of games but absolutely no need to slag our young team like that

Sibbick looked good

 

Easy to forget that it took two injury time winners and a dodgy poker player at Wigan to keep us up last season, so to be mid table is massive progress.

Our issues at the back are obvious, set pieces, pace behind and the odd brain fade like tonight. I suspect VI sees sibbick as someone that can possibly add some pace to the back three, trouble is, sollbauer seems to be the only one capable of communicating with any team mates in that back three. Helik and Andersen have seemed to struggle together a few times this season

In attack, I think our main issue is that our wide players are nullified somewhat by the fact that crosses into the box are fairly pointless. We score some great goals, but we can’t pass it through the top teams like we have against the lower teams.

Morris looked far better at getting hold of the ball than our other forwards, hopefully with more time in the team he can get some end product off the back of it as well.
