always looks a bit subdued in these previews on catch up, never engages with camera or anyone it seems, all guess work but he might be like everyone at times in life need a change, good luck to the lad
Good luck to him. It would be easier for him to bench warm at a higher level but he wants to play Football as he's a Football player. I am worried the amount we are only loaning out of our bloated squad though. It appears nobody wants to buy our players that we want shut of.
yes true, like me,being shy is a curse in life you can not help it, just how you are went to a farm once, making a fuss of this horse, little white one, eating mints out of my hand,he or she was really happy moving its head wanting a fuss, moved onto next one a big massive horse, all four feet with white hair like horse hug boots, the horse did not want to know head down and would not join in, went back to farm shop, said to farmer,"the white horse is a right little character, but the big lad is a bit stand offish, wont join in " he went "oh no its not is fault he is just a Shire horse"
Good loan move for him - hope he does well and comes back a better player! I think there's a lot of potential there. Doesn't this leave us short up front though? Thomas offered a different option off the bench, and I'm not sure any of our other forwards can run at players like he does
I'm curious what option he brought. He couldn't find another red shirt, fell over his own feet and struggled to get shots off on goal but apart from that he was a decent player?
Don’t know how tall/small he is but there’s others playing who are no taller or even smaller than him. Size had absolutely nothing to do with ability
It's not surprising. Leagues 1&2 clubs will be reluctant to pay transfer fees, given there's no certainty that they'll be able to complete the season. They wont want to commit to many contracts beyond this season without knowing how many fans will be allowed in at the start of next season. At least it gets Simoes and Thomas in the shop window. If they do well, and fans are allowed back in next season, there might be enquiries about them. We'd probably still need to give anyone leaving some sort of pay off, as salary cap would mean a pay cut for them if they drop down a league. I guess we're stuck with Schmidt for another two and a half years.
Of all the extremely young kids we signed last 18 months ago, Thomas still looks the most like that, a young kid. He's not a bad ball carrier, but it's never obvious what he's trying to do and what the purpose is of his actions. He's got decent pace too, something we lack, but he's never really hurt an opponent. Sending him out on loan is probably the best choice as come seasons end, we've 2 years to see if we can get some form of return on what currently looks like a huge waste of money.
He’s a good footballer that runs his blood to water but struggles for end product. Hopefully he comes back from Ipswich like Mowatt did from Oxford.
According to Soccerbase he's scored one league goal for us in 58 appearances. That said I still rate him over other attacking options like Odeboyejo, Miller, and Aitchson.
