That’s my point. If we struggle against Cardiff and forest, he’ll have to do something

Weve just played arguably the 3 best teams in the division, and lost each game by the odd goal

Don't get carried away when we're winning, don't get too downbeat when we're losing

Miles ahead of where I thought we'd be

This ref and that idiot Jeremy Simpson are the worst two refs we’ve had over the past few years. Every single time.

    We were away as well...

Watford we’re on the ropes for much of that half, shown more by their time wasting. They only won with a dodgy penalty... chalk it off as a bad day.

Woukd have liked more shots on target but we battled. In all honesty we didn't threaten Watford and I think they seemed comfortably the better side, as you would expect them to be. Annoying we didn't get the pen at the end though.

You’re right, but we have become so toothless and indecisive in the final third, we must work the keeper more.it’s got to change.

It definitely was not a pen on Woodrow at the end!

well played reds against a very organised outfit littered with expensive players. We put in a decent shift. Some peculiar refereeing decisions. On we go.

I thought we made Watford look very ordinary going forward. They never really had an answer to our pressing game. It must be a nightmare to play against.

Unfortunately we're waaaaay too narrow going forward. You can see sides knowing it's not going out wide so they defend narrowly making it very difficult to play through them. It's one reason why we have so many shots from distance, so few on target and so few crosses.

Ironically the best moment of the second half came when Mowatt whipped a ball in from a wide position and their defender brought a save out of his own keeper with Woodrow lurking.

We don't need a winger to beat men, just a touch and a whipped ball round the back of the defensive line can be enough, instead it comes inside more often than not.

Edit: having said that Adam Hammill from a few years ago would be perfect in this set up. ;)

True. But we’ve also failed to score in all three games, gave away sloppy goals, thrown away almost every set piece we’ve been awarded, and have now lost more games than Sheff Wed who are currently in the bottom 3. I think anyone has the right to be pissed off and a little concerned.

The three losses don’t concern me as such, however, the lack of goals do. Cardiff and Forest won’t be easy games and we don’t seem to do draws. The fixture list hasn’t been kind.

Losing matches isn't so bad if you don't do draws. We'll be right!

Just checked after my previous comment and we've had just 1 goal from a cross so far this season, the lowest in the division.

Gutted to lose that one. I believe we played better than Watford, but they always looked dangerous. A tale of two penalties, one given one not. Alex Mowatt was my MOTM.
We're moving in the right direction, slowly but surely. Tenth in the league, in the 4th Round of the FA Cup. We're unlikely to be anywhere near the Play Offs, nor are we likely to be in a relegation battle, either.
*Not bad considering we're supposed to have an extremely poor 'keeper, the 'Chuckle Brothers' at the back, a captain who's just going through the motions all the time and doesn't care and a poor striker who's only getting selected on the off chance we'll be awarded a penalty!:D *
