How much sunlight gets to the roots.. soil temperatures dictate root growth and a good dose of phosphate. Ask a golfer they are always experts..
Our neighbours used 1st.Call,who are based on Wakefield Road opposite Wickes. It looks good and was laid in the summer.
Maybe I’m lazy but I hate cutting grass. Putting artificial down was best thing I did, let dogs out in winter zero mess. Wife never moans at me that grass needs cutting. Got rid of mower that was taking up room in garage. Far more pros than cons for me
Sunlight for temperature. It must be personal preference. I'll stick with my previous posts. I wouldn't put my name to a job laying a new lawn in January. Ps Golfers would probably tell you constantly about one decent lawn and not the 150 they cocked up. Just from experience. Bit like fishermen aswell☺
Drainage? My drains fine otherwise i would have a pond in the garden by now. it wasn’t reight good for human life when I was putting it down, neatly killed me, too old to be doing **** like that.
Just going to look into this now myself, currently have a large deck built and want to put artificial down for the rest. Did you go for one of the more expensive grades or not? Not really sure how to gauge it.
I'm with you on this, I think it looks tacky to be honest and I definitely wouldn't buy a property that had it. Just personal preference.
put it down last year and did my decking year before. Did it all myself as not only too lazy to mow grass I’m too tight to pay anyone should always avoid a join if possible so I was limited to what I could use as I used 5m wide which isn’t as common a size. I just put a small border to the left with some decorative stones. I also wanted short pile due to having dogs and easier to pick up any sloppy mess . Cost about £600-£700 for the grass image is almost finished grass not fastened down and left border not finished.
