So does the departure of CT from this BB mean the end of this thread (not so much a thread but something the size and length of an old Transatlantic telephone cable!!) ? Or is Loko the Tyke going to pick up the baton for the 'hopelessly lost causes' and continue onwards and ....err... downwards?
Perhaps he thinks Trump is just 'Biden his time' (I'll fetch mi coit)

Of all the things to call out in this thread though, that is what you choose? Where are your posts to casual pointing out the things that you disagree with them on? I don’t remember a single one. Posting QAnon conspiracy theories is a bit worse than saying ‘friendly Barnsley fans’ which is clearly just a turn of phrase and not something to be dissected and worth getting pedantic about. Especially when we’ve got someone on here spouting the crap they do and intentionally trolling that gets ignored by you.

I'll be totally honest and say I suspect Loko has been using the CT account as a bit of fun. Lack of convo between the two and both logging in at similar times... just a hunch. Not out of any malice etc. just want to make that clear

A bit of fun or a way to put their real thoughts without having to stick their name to it? The lack of engagement between the two certainly suggests an agreement of content even if not the same person. Surely no-one would pick up on the use of the word 'friendly' and not the claims put forward by casual? I can understand pedantry, I go in for a bit of it myself, but no-one who cares that much about the correct use of a single word in a post would be able to just ignore all the claims they make and not comment on a single one at any point.

It doesn't suggest an agreement of content at all. Not even close. It suggests pretty clearly it's not something I endorse, care about, and want to interact with. I've also spoken up about the best way to deal with people who appear to be on a wind up is to ignore them - surely I should follow my own lead on that one? There's nothing fun about being an online wind up.

Your argument here on picking out that one word isn't considering the greater context of this thread. Also the fact that I'm sure you'd probably agree that trying to bring friendly in to it at the very last stage is a little bit ironic considering everything that went before it. For a thread this size we've probably seen the fewest alerts considering how emotional the subject has been at times. So not policing something is because nothing needed policing. All content shared was from the public domain. Two posters both hit alert to complain about the other in the same exchange, and one poster sent me a PM to say they felt uneasy about three or four of the conspiracy theories being there to be seen - so I went through and deleted those posts.

As an additional FYI if two people log on from the same IP address it triggers an alert. Even if I had the time and inclination to have a second account (I mean this claim is just laughable really), other admins would see that.

Fair enough and like I said previously I didn't think you would have meant anything nasty whatsoever in doing it if it had have been you, just a bit of a laugh.

The Biden administration are discovering there is no strategy in place to fight covid.
    Trump had been winging it.
Looking a bit like what we have here under Johnson.

I think you'll find those reports to be wrong. Biden's team have discovered tons of disinfectant in a White House outbuilding.

As we leave this enormous thread behind (hopefully) it is good to know that the future of the GOP is in good hands. Here's the latest from Ted Cruz he who incited the mob and then attended the Capitol yesterday posting photographs of himself with an
NRA (bankrupt) face mask. Truly an intellectual giant but then the bar is set low. And still showing his concern for the citizens of Pennsylvania!

"By rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates he’s more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate and will harm the livelihoods of Americans."

To be fair to Ben/Loko, he replied to CT in post #592 on Page 30! :)

Ted Cruz is a spineless worm who sold out the last of his own principles and self-respect to attach himself to Trump like a limpet. I would hope he will now be cast aside and allowed to drift into irrelevance.

I’m still confused by the fact that I described the members of this forum as friendly and an admin took exception.

there’s something wrong with that scenario - and it’s not on me.

Yes, it's been an interesting ride! 190 pages (so far). It took only 14 pages (post #268) to get beyond election day. I remained a 'US Election' thread virgin until page 24 (post #473) when I posted the perfectly reasonable and balanced view that Trump was a vile, misogynistic racist. Sentiments which I stand by! We hit the infamous 6th January on page 120 (post #2400) and there have been an impressive 70 pages since! Whatever else, the thread has provided a fair bit of entertainment for those who don't take it too seriously!

I think he was just pointing out the hypocrisy of saying we were a friendly BBS when a number of posters (me included at some point probably) have lost their rag with CT on numerous occasions. I don't feel like there is anything more to it than that.
