Yes that was my point. It isn't fully tested, it can't be or they'd know the answers to those questions. I completely agree that because of the risk versus the benefit they have to offer it to the vulnerable but I don't think they should have made claims of it being fully tested when it can't have been as it gives doubt to the healthy for when their time comes.

It’s “fully tested” in the sense that it’s gone through all the testing of any other vaccine in order for it to be approved. Sure they haven’t tested everything, but no vaccine does, so what’s the difference?

Vaccines have in the past had clinical stage 3 long term trials halted after 12 months after adverse effects were discovered. Impossible to do with this as no long term trials have been conducted. Not an opinion, a fact.

It’ll be interesting to see how that affects their business. If I were an old biddy I’d be more likely to travel with a group of folk who’d been vaccinated rather than a group that hadn’t.

I see 2 problems here though. The first is its going to take many months to get everyone vaccinated so if for example I wanted to go on a cruise this spring (I dont but I know people my age who do) I cant and have no way to jump the vaccination queue
The second is what is vaccinated? the first shot which gives 90% immunity if you believe our government or 30% if you believe the Israeli's - Manufacturer doesn't recommend the approach the government is taking - do they need a full vaccination or just the half hearted attempt?
How long does a vaccination last?

Now for a cruise its a slightly different set of circumstances but how long before you need it to go to a football match or the Cinema or the Supermarket?
I see this being a route to effective manditory vaccination by the back door

It is not rocket science Everyone needs vaccination. The time to worry is if you do not get one

It is too early to say whether the coronavirus lockdown in England could start to be lifted from mid-February as initially hoped, Boris Johnson has said, with Downing Street refusing to rule out it lasting into the summer.

Speaking to reporters during a visit to flood-hit Didsbury in Greater Manchester, the prime minister cited the spread of the newer variant of Covid-19 as a complicating factor.

Announcing a third lockdown in England at the start of this month, Johnson had said the measures would be reviewed during half-term week, in the middle of February. But he said on Thursday: “I think it’s too early to say when we’ll be able to lift some of the restrictions.”

(I didn't know where else to put this - sorry if it is in the wrong place.)

Totally depressing if the kids can't get back to school and out and about again.

Got to get used to 'new normal' that's anything but. Cinemas will shut for good with people watching new films only in their own home. Pubs and clubs will be turned in to housing. Offices will continue to downsize for WFH and the space saved probably made in to flats.

Quite right. Everyone should hide in their houses forever. Stay safe.

Sorry but that is the truth of it and I can assure you. You do not want it or to witness anyone dying with it
