It did, the original ball went out of play on the halfway line and rebounded back onto the field, the Chelsea player picked up an extra ball and took the throw-in 20 yards further up the pitch. Half of the Luton side were watching the ball that went out of play.
How can they say that? If a single Luton player was looking at that ball, then it was having an impact. But that is nothing to do with it, the laws of the game state only 1 ball in play. No opinions regarding impact are required.
Poor decision by the ref. Big club bias Luton not recovered from that goal. Clearly should have been disallowed. How many rules can the big clubs get away breaking.
Clearly can see stole only about 5 yards. Typical bloke exaggeration goal should have clearly been ruled out because two balls on the pitch and Several Luton players trying to point this out prior to Chelsea scoring.
Are you working on this game MF? After all these years I'm still not 100% sure what you do to be honest other than it involves behind the scenes stuff for football (and presumably other sports?) at the bbc
Not on the live show from Chelsea. Directing tonight's MOTD highlights. Discussing this as we speak with Leon Osman and Stephen Warnock. Delving into the rulebook, it looks like the right decision was made, however aggrieved Luton might feel... Direct other stuff when it happens - Olympics, tennis, athletics, cycling, but just football at the minute.....Football Focus the next couple of weeks. And then I'm done - taking redundancy after 32 years! Bit of freelancing after that - Tokyo Olympics, in the unlikely event it happens!
Thanks for that, it sounds like a really interesting job. Enjoy your redundancy, after that omg you deserve a good rest and as you're obviously highly skilled you'll never struggle for the freelancing when you want it on your terms
'Highly skilled'?? I wish.... Nice thing is I can pick & choose....Mrs Finn retires next year, so I'll take what I need to get me out the house! My retirement plan was always to have a season-ticket again after thirty-odd years, but as most of my freelance gigs would be on Saturdays, it might not make sense just yet..
Is Bree the only Luton player that's playing? I'm listening on the wireless and I'm sure he's had 90% of Luton's possession.
