    I was until I realised Neil Thompson was their temporary manager. Don't get me wrong still want them to lose but have good memories of Thompson playing and scoring for us. Also have Everton in my acca - so sod it; pointless post of the night. Come on the Toffees!

    Thompson was great for us but only wish the worst for Wednesday. My dad wanted to take me to Wednesday as a kid. But decided to go to watch Barnsley with my mate. The best decision ever.

    Everton got three goals to win the tie. Derek Temple got a brace and young Mike Trebilcock (a lad from pompey) got one.
    Gerry Young, the Wednesday right half, messed up a simple 'trapping' and the ball squirmed out to set up the winner.

    I see! Portsmouth to Plymouth is 170 miles. Different counties as well. You don’t recognise county boundaries obviously with England just one blob of land, all the same?

    I'm going to be the same with George. He'll probably go where his mates go. If he wants to follow Wednesday. United or the Millers it will be up to him. Until then though he'll be a Red. I certainly don't want him to miss out on the social aspect just because he's a Barnsley fan.
