    Seen articles today that we’re offering him 7 times what he’s on currently and rumours that his agent was at the game yesterday. Hopefully a deal can be done there.

    Yeah our friend Alan Nixon said we've offered half a million and willing to give him 4k a week seven times what he's on now but he is happy where he is but might be forced to join us as Wigan need the cash.

    He might not want to come as I believe he’s a lifelong Latics fan and will be worried about the reaction if he does.
    The hatred is crazy but it’s definitely real.

    Mental, though if we're the only team that offer anything then you'd think he'd have to come as they need the money now and not in the summer.

    In which case, the Wigan fans should be grateful as it will be our money keeping them afloat though I'm sure the thought of that won't be easy for them.

    if a club comes in with 4k a week when he's currently on £600, he's off. his agent will make sure of that, and rightly so. whether that's to us or someone else. just like when bigger clubs offer our players 3/4/5x current salary
