Does picking a team 1 week, mean you can't pick the same team every week?
Technically there is a possibility of picking the same team as the week before, but it cant be done in advance.

Each player has to pick a team each week, for one week only.
The week after is a completely fresh picking process.

So in theory you still have a chance of picking the same team as previous week/s, but it cant be guaranteed as everybody has a fair chance of picking whichever team available each week

Also ive decided to change the rules slightly to make it fairer :-

If a player fails to pick a team, then they will still get a default 0 goals, but they will now not get a 1 point in the scenario they have a result of 0-0 against another player, they will get a default 0 points instead.
Think its fairer for everyone else to not reward a player who doesnt pick a team?

Still going with the scenario that a player playing against a 'no pick' team still has to score a goal in order to get a 3 points win though, otherwise they will get 1 point for a 0-0 draw.

Hi everyone,
After the success of Red 24/7's Cup game, we have decided to start a league competition, which I will be running.
I plan to start it on Saturday 6th February and then every Saturday thereafter.

It will be the same concept of each player choosing a different team from the Saturday fixtures of either the Premier League, Championship, League One or League Two.
Then going head-head against a different player, to see which team scores the most goals to make an imaginary result.

It will then be 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss.
The league positions will be decided by points, then goals scored and finally goal difference.

As the admin required to do a snake draft pick every week is too great, I've decided to use a first come first served method for picking teams.
However, I will open the team picking process on a different day and time each week, in order to randomly give everyone a fair chance to pick their preferred team for that week. Also, I will then pick my team last, so as to not encounter any bias accusations.

If your chosen team's game is postponed/abandoned/re-scheduled,then you will be awarded a default 1 goal.
If you forget to pick a team that week, then you will be awarded a default 0 goals.
If you choose a team already chosen by a different player and you don't change it by the *deadline*, then you will be awarded a default 0 goals.
*deadline* is Friday 17:59, this then gives me time to pick my own team, then collate and post the fixtures for the Saturday.

If we get an odd number of entrants, then a default team will play each week, with it awarded a default 1 goal.

I will post the weeks results and table every Sunday.

There are 14 Saturdays to the end of the season, so if we get more than 14 entrants then unfortunately not every player will play each other once, but i will ensure nobody plays the same player twice.
