    Legend. Not only an amazing footballer, but he loves us.

    He should retire, and get his arse back to Oakwell, coaching our young midfielders and strikers how to be the next him.

    Magicians come along rarely, usually only once...we were very fortunate to have a true magician twice, just a shame he couldn't have seen his career out at Oakwell.

    In my 40 seasons as a season ticket holder he now goes in my best Barnsley11 team. I would love for him to come back as an academy coach ( 9 to 16 year olds) and 1st team specialist winger coach; what Simoes and Thomas could learn from him!
    At 33 he could still do a job for the last 10 minutes after the opposition have been run to death by our young team, as well as player coach in the under 23s.

    Great player, scored some great and important goals for us in both stints. But is this gonna be a yearly thing the club celebrating Hammills birthday?? Seems a bit weird to me

    NO! Disco is what I call an adopted son of Barnsley( has settled here and his kids were born here), playing in the U23s is that Adam could be coaching and giving advice on the pitch whilst keeping himself fit for the afore mentioned 10minute spells. Also he could advise the young players not to believe everything their agents tell them, giving his experience as an example.

    I'd love for adam to be involved in something.

    What that is I've no idea.

    But would love him to be in and around the place, guiding and earning himself in some capacity
