Fatter. Homebrew has more calories than pub beer.

Much fatter for me and feel awful.

The first lockdown came before I had chance to shift my Christmas gain - I hadn’t got back into my running routine due to an injury and I always struggle to run outdoors in the summer months. I used the treadmill as much as I could when the gyms were back open but never got myself back to 2019 fitness levels.

I was also really, really busy at work for the whole of 2020 and that resulted in a bit of stress and drinking a lot more than usual. All excuses really and not made better by the fact that my mate was cycling 20-40 miles a day when furloughed and lost loads.

Thankfully doing much better so far this year, but it’s going to take a good few months to get back to a weight I’m comfortable with.

Deffo thinner. Started the Couch to 5K thing back in March and just kept going. Only one road round here that's anything like flat, and it's a 6km return trip. Do that 3 times a week. Loving it to be honest, and just at the point now where if I can't go out, I get a bit grumpy. Missus bought me a running watch for Christmas. Lost about 2.5 stone and feeling so much better for it.

Got a lot Fatter during the first lockdown.
Second lockdown I had quit drinking and went on post-Christmas elimination diet and took up running - lost 10lb in 2 weeks.

You don't know people's circumstances, situations or any other reasons for being fat, could be physical, medical or mental reasons but you sit up there on your high horse & judge.

This Government is a sh1tshow, how many Cobra meetings did bozo miss at the start of it all?

At the start of the first lockdown I was about half a stone over my normal weight (12 stone) due to 2 months inactivity following my bike accident. I started doing long bike rides almost every day and by the summer I was back down to normal. In the run up to Christmas I went back up to 12 stone 7 lbs and I'm currently about 12 stone 2 lbs. I'm averaging 10 miles a day on the bike so far this year and I did 2663 miles (7.3 miles a day) in 2020.

So a bit up and down really.... basically I'm the same as I've been the last 10 years.

I took early retirement in April 2019, so my routine has not changed much with the lockdowns. I'm pretty much a sedentary creature, anyway.
I was hoping to get back into the workforce in 2020, but the plague derailed that idea. I'm hoping 2021 is better, but I'm only getting older, which does not help.
I hit my heaviest ever in January 2020, with a monthly average of 112.4 Kg.
It dropped in February, slightly, although I had an all-time record of 114.0 Kg one day.
However, in my defense, I had just returned from a 5-week Hawaii-Australia-Hawaii holiday.
The on-and-off Shelter-in-Place (SIP) started here in March. My weight went down to an average of 106.1 Kg in September, with a low of 104.8 Kg one day, but it's picking up again.
This month's rolling (no pun intended) average is currently 107.7 Kg.
I tried the "Dry January" challenge for the first time ever this year, and I'm currently at 26 days. However, I'm not happy that it doesn't seem to have had the desired effect on my weight, although the Liver is not complaining.
San Francisco lifted the SIP on Monday, so that may lead to a break in my abstinence, once the outdoor dining is reestablished, However, Mother Nature sent a Atmospheric River with dangerously high winds through last night, so that's slowed down my desire to venture out to a patio.

ALTERNATIVE VERSION: I've lost 4.7 Kg in a year, or 9.2 Kg, if the extremes are taken into account.

I lost a load over preceding years, without really trying. A bit has sneaked back on. Drinking beer at home doesn’t help. I could do with a younger dog, who doesn’t stop to sniff every 2 yards..:)

I will get these old adopted terriers. Eyes & ears have practically gone, so the nose becomes their only source of info. Which means we don’t get very far, very fast. I wouldn’t have been without any of them, & will probably do the same again when Alf pops his old clogs..:)

About the same. Cut out takeaways completely. Partly because of no money and because making tea was something to do. Made sure I didn't over eat in the day time. Just have some fruit or cereal.

    I have Lost 3st+

I Was in hospital. Xmas new yr 2019/20.
Absolutely convinced in hindsight along with all my family. Having had all the symptoms. Covid. ( would love to know) Got diagnosed with influenza type A. But didn’t feel like influenza to be honest.

But main reason for loss of weight. Diabetes type 2. So I went on a course and chose a Low carb diet from a selection of 3. Just after.
Low calorie diet tried before and failed miserably. Starving missen and not losing an ounce. Bugger that. May work for others but not me.

I Gained a little last Xmas. Indulging in Sweetstuff.
    Back on track now.

Well done on your achievement hooky. My Lad was really ill with a "bad flu" for a week in jan 2020 at start of university term (shared halls with a lot of chinese students) and he says same. Says it laid waste to him and he boxes and can run a sub three-hour marathon. When news broke about covid and how it attacked overweight people badly I was scared into doing something I should have done years ago really

some great stories,my first betting instincts was to have fatter the favourite, but shows what a broad church the BBS is and maybe you mirror everyone to be like you, some of the stories inspiring me to try lose a bit, but end of day if your happy as you are then, keep on being you

    amazing race in progress with
    fatter 15
    thinner 14
    same 15
    void 3

betting now is 6/4 every outcome

a very fair 120 percent overround

from a very fair over round person :)

How are you finding the 5:2? I've been doing the 16:8 for the last year. Found it pretty easy to stick to (despite a few cheat days when socialising and over Christmas) and lost about half a stone from January to March last year before lockdown proper kicked in, but since then I've plateaued, as I'm working from home so my only exercise is swimming once a week and some skiing if the weather permits. Was thinking of alternating each week or every couple of weeks between 16:8 and 5:2 in order to keep my metabolism in its toes, but I'm worried that I'll just end up getting incredible "hangry" on the fast days.
