Just read an interview he's done online - didn't like Steve Parkin at all. Said he was a poor man manager. Those really were grim times at Oakwell

The best man manager in the world could never have turned Paul Gibbs into a half-decent left back

Darren Barnard didn't have a good word to say about him either.

I didn't like Steve Parking, either. One of the worst Barnsley managers ever, in my opinion. However, as far as I'm concerned, Paul Gibbs is the worst left back I've ever seen play for us bar none.

That season more than any sticks out in my memory because we won 9, drew 9 and lost 5 at home. We still had some decent players left from the previous years and it just needed tweaking it didn't need Paul Gibbs, Mike Flynn, Tony Bedeau, Garry Mcswegan and Richard Naylor. The Naylor one really p1ssed me off because I know Sheron was no great shakes but he was rattling them in before he was dropped in favour of crap loanees.

He didn't have much personality - football was really bad as well. Toss up between him, Spackman and Jose for worst ever Barnsley manager

He panicked when we started losing games after that unbeaten run we went on. He just needed to ride it out instead he was rash in the use of the loan window. That season was particularly sickening because it marked the end of an era for me. If we'd stayed up Dennis would have regrouped and learnt from his mistakes and we could have remained a force at Championship level. The relegation lost us our pulling power when it came to bringing in players.

Worse than Tom Kennedy? There isn't a lot in it!

We went into admin in October following that relegation. We couldn't have afforded those bigger name players - and they could have finished us off completely.

At the time we had Chris Barker, David Mulligan and Darren Barnard. Gibbs should have been nowhere near our team.

    Spackman is the worst.

Johnson and Hill a toss-up for second-worst. One a giggling dwarf who thinks he's Pep Guardiola, and the other a slightly better manager who undoes any good work by slandering anything and everything.

    Gi' or' wi' thi.

Were you at Chalton in 2014 - best cross I've seen live in that match from r Tom. Admittedly, I thought he'd screwed it up, and so did the Charlton goalie [still can't believe it went in the net]

Nah Keith wasn't that bad - had us just outside the playoffs before the team was dismantled in January. Never recovered from it.

As for Kennedy, he was bad but probably harshly remembered because of how much of our terrible play revolved around him and Wiseman punting channel balls. He did ok in our survival run.

Tom Kennedy was clearly a professional footballer, just not one who should have been plying his trade in the Championship. Paul Gibbs looked like someone who'd wandered in off the street and was accidentally handed a kit and boots.

He must have had a big dopper though. He went out with Helen Chamberlain.

Agreed. For me it's not even close. And as Kennedy absolutely runs away with second place, that's really saying something about just how atrocious Paul Gibbs was. He couldn't even get into the Brentford team in the league below us. An absolutely baffling signing, on a similar level to Torquay reserve Tony Bedeau.

    Stockport reserve Mike Flynn.
