Been on the cards a while, they've already signed Whiteman to replace him. More interestingly, Bournemouth had accepted an offer from Forest for Gosling, but he turned them down. Wouldn't be surprised if there are offers from Forest or others for Mowatt on Monday as the final dominoes fall over. I just hope he gives some serious thought on what risk might be involved in leaving a club where he's captain to go to a club where he was 3rd or 4th choice on their list of targets, before accepting any offers.
Looks like Preston have been royally shafted today. As well as losing Pearson to Bournemouth, they’ve also lost Darnell Fisher to Middlesbrough and Ben Davies has signed a pre contract at Celtic.
I feel their pain. We know what it's like to lose multiple star players in the same mid season transfer window.
Disagree, he’s quality only issue is discipline. If he could keep out of the ref’s book I think he’d play at the top level. He can’t though.
Pearson is just what we need in central midfield playing for second balls. That said we have the Duracell bunny playing LWB?
Find it odd that some are suggesting he lacks quality. Not a goal scorer or playmaker but think he's neat and tidy in possession. Which is what's expected of him in his role.
Personally I don’t think he’s anything to sing and shout about he goes round mistiming challenges for fun and takes nearly zero risks in his game he collects the ball and passes sideways that’s it. I like my defensive midfielder to collect the ball and play forward and get us on the front foot.
I don’t think he’s good enough for the premier league which I suppose doesn’t matter to Bournemouth as if they get back up they can just buy new anyway.
