    The thing is he probably brings in more than that in sponsorship etc. even discounting the impact he has on the pitch, so it’s obscene but makes sense from a business point of view.

    When I first read that, I thought is was £12.3 million a year, and thought that was pretty daft. Then I re-read it and nearly fell off my sofa.
