I can remember three of his. Home to Chelsea (1-1) Autumn 88, we also had Futcher sent off, October 89 he was sent off at home to Port Vale (lost 3-0) for kicking out at Dean Glover (who was a proper tw@t to be fair) and almost a year later he was sent off against the same opposition, off the ball incident I think involving Glover again and John Jeffers. Ref was Tony Ward, terrible performance by him, he had to give us a last minute penalty that Archdeacon scored to get us a 1-1 draw. Best shot of that last game was from whoever was stood on the Ponty End and took aim at Jeffers with a pound coin and caught him straight in the knackers.

I know it wasn't his debut but didn't Ron Futcher score a hatrick away at Charlton before getting sent off and then kicking the dressing room door in?

I remember Paul Futcher getting sent off in the west stand tunnel after a game. He tried to strangle someone, as I remember.

Kin ell. Andy I'm glad I'm not married to you. You'd be bringing up arguments before we'd even met?!?

Was Carl.Regan sent off in the game v Norwich that we had to win to stay up?

Whoever was in goal for us saved a pen or the.pen was missed.

Craig Bellamy refereed every game he played.

No, it was the first game of the 00/01 season. Won 1-0, Lee Jones scored.

Niche one - having lost our last 6 or something without scoring on the road, we went 1 up at Scunthorpe a cold Tuesday night - I think this was just after Wilson was sacked in 2015. Big Jean-Yves M'voto, already on a yellow, decided to absolutely smash their player into the advertising hoardings. Bye bye Jean. We managed to hold on for 30 mins with 10 men so no harm done in the end...

Norman Hunter at Rotherham 1983-ish. Punched the irritating sod whose name I can’t recall, and was on his way up the tunnel before his victim hit the ground.

I remember a really bad away trip to West Brom late 80’s. I think Clarke had just been sacked and our young centre half Shaun Dunphy got sent off.

A tight game we lost 7-0, not the best day out.

It was after the David Currie 2-3 Dalian Atkinson home defeat against Ipswich in late Feb 88. Currie's debut. Ref was George Tyson, he brought Futcher out of the tunnel to make sure those who were still in the ground saw the red card.

    I do remember the challenge/game

A 2 footer right in front of west stand (ponty end side)

Even though it was about 20 minutes in, he did look good up to that point.

After that game though, looks like his true ability shine through and ranks as one of the worst we've had.

Always remember the Regan incident. Signed from Everton with a lot of fans looking forward
to his debut My lad and myself were on the West Stand lower concourse for that game
and couldn't believe what we saw.

As the opposition player moved forward with the ball, Carl lurched forward with both feet and
" crunched" their player. He was very lucky not to end up with a broken ankle. See he played
for quite a number of clubs retiring in 2013 after ten games with Bury FC.
Can't remember who he fouled DD. It was against Norwich City in a game we won 1-0
through a goal by Lee Jones who had joined us from Wrexham if I remember correctly.

That debacle at home to Stoke is always worth a mention.

Steve Foster given a 2nd yellow in the last minute, for a 50/50 challenge. Free kick comes into the box, and Ricardo Fuller is given a penalty. If I remember right, he's attempted an overhead kick and misjudged it. Liam Lawrence equalised with his 2nd penalty of the game.

One of Trevor Kettle's finest hours.

Dale jennings was sent off in the first game of the season two seasons running.

250,000 that lad cost. A quarter of a million pounds.

You could buy and furnish a three bedroom semi with adjoining garage, buy a brand new car to fill that garage, take a two week holiday in Mexico (if we're ever allowed out) and dine out every weekend for a year. Or you could have Dale Jennings.
