Interesting player choice for the press meeting today

    Bearing in mind the supposed interest from Premier League teams in the lad I am concerned that we maybe are being used as a tester for them. If a Prem team signed him on loan he probably would not get any game time. I guess from reading between the lines as to what caveats to the loan deal Orlando have made, we will be required to give him game time. That will give Prem teams the opportunity to have a good look at him. If he lives up to the hype and is a 'Wunderkind' we will be gazumped irrespective of what the option to buy says, because as we all know money talks.

    I wouldn’t agree that Payton was a flop. He wasn’t a particularly likeable lad, but he did score goals.

    OK flop may be wrong word
    but never lived up to what i was expecting from him
    12 in first season 12 in second & 17 in third (getting there)
    i obviously made me mind up with him the first two seasons

    And if the Prem team approach his agent and offer to treble his wage (and the agent's commission) and offer Orlando double the transfer fee ? You are extremely naïve if you think everyone will stick to an agreement even if it's a contract.

    The way I understand it (could be wrong) a deal is agreed with Orlando yes but if we choose to activate that clause we would then have to agree personal terms with the player, thats where it could get a bit difficult as if better teams come knocking and offer more money not a lot we can do.
