I would still go but probably wouldn't enjoy it it so much soaked to the bone! Might well move seat to be more under cover as well!!
Of course I would. What would be the point in buying a ST for a northern football club and then not being willing to go (presuming it's not called off) because of rain?
After standing in the pouring rain at Altrincham, no amount of rain will ever stop me from going to a match ever again! That being said, we played a friendly in 2018, I think it was against West Brom. I'd gone in just my football shirt as it had been 28 degrees all day. The heavens opened just as I got out of the car at the courthouse, and it only stopped raining when I got to the Ponte end. I've never seen rain as heavy in the UK before. I was soaked to the bone.
This^ our games are planned well in advance, there’s no way we’d not go if the game was on. And if the games called off, we’d likely look for an alternative game.
It wouldn't be the game we love if we didn't occasionally come back cold, wet, and thoroughly miserable.
Who do you go to games with? Sounds like you make a full day of it with people you wouldn't usually get to spend time with?
My chain of thought was that the weather never stopped me going to work ( rule 1 ), therefore the weather would not stop me going anywhere for my pleasure ( rule 2 )& despite being retired rule 2 still applies .
Yes that’s often the case. I came to be a Barnsley fan through the in-laws, though now I’ll also go with my son, son in law, stepson, even a daughter occasionally. Can be as many as 6 of us or as few as 2. Though there are games it’s just me and my son, and we wouldn’t go looking for another game if Barnsley was postponed
