With no fans to worry about inconveniencing isn't 3 hours before kick off a bit early to do a pitch inspection?
Why do we not cover the whole pitch like Wimbledon do for the Tennis? Or like Sri Lanka who are the only Cricket nation that I think completely covers the pitch to protect from the rain.
The only thing it can be really. Personally I say balls to derby, they spend huge sums on wages that they can't afford so one little coach trip won't hurt them
I think Gordon Owen might be right, derby will probably set off after then. Clubs seem to enjoy cutting it fine on arriving to away games
They usually get here for around 1.30pm, little over an hour/hour 15 run from Derby. The photo of the pitch is shocking, time they upgraded it - the stadium itself looks a right dump around the perimeter.
