how on earth was that a red card? var recommended a look but the ref decided that it's red woeful decision, you could see that his elbow had zero intent to injure, it was his natural body movement and immediately knew he'd caught someone by accident, the whole system need a reboot....up the jacksy!
sorry we was playing make a word game, maybe your right about it being dead, will now have a google see who sent off
he was watching the same video as us yet deemed it a red? he needs sacking, no love for anything cockney but that boils my piss
Mike Dean has already been involved in 3 VAR decisions this week, which includes this one, and one of them has already been overturned. I would expect the one tonight to be overturned also, which must bring into question Dean’s ability, but I can guarantee nothing will be done
exactly, if/when it does get overturned no harm done in the last minute, referees incompetence is just highlighted further with var yet it's supposed to help them
His height has worked against him there. If you're 6ft 4 and jerk your elbow round you're likely going to catch someone shorter in the chops. It's still never a red card though, clearly no intent there.
Seen it now. What's the view on whether his elbow actually touches the other guy? I'm not sure. I'm almost hundred per cent certain there's no intent, it's a reaction, it is not, under any circumstances, violent conduct, but what's the rule if he catches the other bloke by mistake? I don't think if he does that's a sending off, but I've been wrong on the laws of the game a couple of times recently.
