Exactly this. I couldn't be bothered arguing the point again. There was a vote, and now we go with it. I didn't vote Conservative either but don't keep bleating about it every week. You have to accept it crack on. Campaign for rejoining if you believe in the EU so much. I think there is more chance of the EU blowing up and more countries leaving, but just my opinion.

Sure there will be pros and cons being in or out of the EU. Up to the individual what takes priority to them and nothing is going to persuade me we are better in at the moment, same i guess the OP will never accept being out.

None really, but surely you understand that if you belittle someone by claiming they're incapable of rational thought because of their political beliefs then you're going to get a reaction, particularly after 11 on a Saturday.

I have no problem with a difference of opinion, but dismissing someone like you did is a red rag to anyone. And I think you're aware of that.

It wasn't meant to belittle him,at the time I honestly just saw it as a concise way of saying I didn't want to enter into a protracted discussion on it because based on his previous posts on the subject I didn't see any way that I would be able to change his mind, and yes I take your point about the time because if red wine hadn't been consumed I probably wouldn't have taken that tack.

To describe someone as indoctrinated implies their view is completely unwavering, in that they will only listen to one source to the point of being brainwashed. It's a bit of a slight, as it implies they can't think critically or for themselves.
