Had the Astra Zenica / Oxford one today. So far, no reaction, but you do get warned about potential reactions as your body starts creating antibodies over the following 48 hours.

I have not been called forward as yet, but my wife has her first one tomorrow. It's a little worrying.

Might want to get tested mate. My dad had the Pfizer vaccine 1st dose. 11 days later tested positive for covid. Only had mild symptoms though and thankfully recovered quickly, obviously don’t have any proof this is the case but I think the vaccine helped him only have mild effects to the virus. I tested positive the same day as him (with no symptoms) and 5 days later it knocked me off my feet for a few days.

You’d think doing all married couples together would be the best and easiest way to go.
    Why worry Dragon?

Had Pfizer about 2 and half weeks ago no problems. Just to be clear vaccine doesn't stop you catching it or passing it on, it just means any symptoms should be mild.

They're now saying that evidence shows it does help stop that which they either suspected or knew all along when they paid their mates £75,000 to develop a vaccine passport.

I'm turned 70 and not heard a thing.
Wonder if you have to be a regular at the doctors because I'm not.

I’d imagine doctors would prioritise anyone with other ailments which might make catching it more serious.

If you've only just turned 70 it may be a little while longer.

Surprised you haven't had an invitation letter from the NHS. I'm over 70 and had my letter last Monday. It gives the option of waiting for your local surgery to call you for a vaccination or you can book in at one of the mass vaccination centres.

And to answer the OP, I had mine today. It was the AstraZeneca vaccine and I am feeling the same after effects as I get from the annual flu jab - arm is starting to feel sore and feeling tired, well more tired than normal :)

Most of my colleagues have had it (as I work in a care home). The vast majority have said they have had a sore arm for over a week after, and swelling. A few have complained about being really hot during the night, and some have said they were really cold.

Most of them have suffered the side affects for no more than 24hrs after taking it though. A few phoned in sick the day after.

Yeah, AstraZeneca/Oxford about 2 weeks ago. Bit of a sore arm the next day (similar to other vaccines Ive had). I know someone else who had it who had chills, headache for a day after the Oxford. It affects people differently.

I had my first Pfizer one three weeks ago, sore arm for 24 hours similar to the flu jab but otherwise no issues whatsoever.

Astra Zeneca was OK on the day but felt ropy day after. Flu symptoms only lasted 12 hours though.

I think it was the AstraZeneca one in particular that showed it lowers the transmissibility. Not sure if that evidence is available for any of the others yet although it could well be the same.
