I’m nowhere near as fast as Salah yet I know that if I’m running as fast I can & someone does what Dias does it might not be enough to knock you over but it’s enough to impede you & make you lose your composure. Dias is trying to be clever thinking he’ll only slightly foul him & hope the referee doesn’t think it’s enough of a foul to give it but on this occasion he was caught out.
Sorry that may be the case sometimes but I played centre forward long enough to know what knocks you off balance and that touch Salah got wasn’t one of them he didn’t even look slightly off balance, for me he felt the touch and folded
The Salah one was very soft. The slow-motion replay makes it look a lot more severe. At full speed it's not all that noticeable.
Slow motion replays are completely pointless, and are part of the reason so many errors are made with VAR.
I agree it needs stopping. However under the current ruling, it's a foul. The issue is, something like that is subjective, so how do you get every referee to agree on a decision.
It probably was used. If var are happy an obvious error hasn't been made they will just tell ref to let the penalty be taken.
It’s soft but Salah is by no means alone. Football is no longer the game I fell in love with and played at a pretty poor level. Whilst ever players get rewarded for, what is simulation, the greater prevalence it will have in the game. The problem is exacerbated with VAR and not improved. Football’s use of technology has been an unmitigated disaster.
It was a blatant dive.Police are making enquiries as to where the sniper fired the shot from when he went down
