    If he’s level or behind the ball when it is played then he’s onside - so for him to have been offside, yes he would have to be in front of the ball...

    The direction of the ball doesn’t matter (which is why the one the other week was the right decision) but the position of the ball in relation to the recipient does.

    It was a BBC graphic, so he probably refused to watch it on principle. We could no doubt have done the graphic more cheaply.
