It's superb with a large glass of good port to wash it down. It needs to left alone in cheese land though and not turned into soup, cos that's rank.
Hairy Bikers made some Stilton and pear tartlets. Looked very yummy. Stilton is very nice so long as its not too powerful. We buy Cotehill blue cheese from their farm near us but if you leave it too long it gets a mind of its own and blows your head off.
I get a wedge of stilton at Christmas, but don't usually bother the rest of the year. Big slice with Christmas cake, lovely jubbly
I prefer White Stilton myself to the Blue stuff . He wasn't a bad goalkeeper at all but the 2 things he's most remembered for are "The Hand of God" goal and the "Polish" incident. Appropos to nothing much on this thread - "If any one of my players isn’t interfering with play, they’re not getting paid." B. Clough - he said that when a new offside law was brought in some time ago.
I was walking home last night and someone threw a round of cheese that hit me on the head. I said that's not very mature...
Where does George Spicer stand on this debate? For all we know he may satisfy himself in the holes of a simple Emmental.
