I think this is it, for me. I respect people not wanting continue because they believe it has become something of a token gesture, but I think if players and people in general want to continue doing it, we should respect it. I think the vast majority believe this but the morons shout loudest.
Correct, the issue is the education. I don’t mind the kneeling, but feel the impact has now diminished as did the clap for carers towards the end, seems to be something that they are just going through the motions and not wanting to be the first to stop. Ignorance is the main cause of racism, seeing someone kneel on a pitch, won’t on its own stop that ignorance. As seen above, it can causes division because people see it as an American issue, or that they are doing it solely for George Floyd. I’m not sure what the positive answers are, but ST writes some great ideas.
This is surely exactly the point. If players or clubs wish to take the knee because they genuinely believe in it, then good for them. Equally if people are doing it for the sake of it (PR, because others do, out of fear etc), then I would rather they didn’t.
You've got people on both sides I guess. Some players have said they don't see the importance of it anymore. Alex Mowatt has said our players actively ask the referee if they can do it before each game. I guess the real truth is probably somewhere in between.
All these moangy upset people who are keyboard warriors on here don't half give it large and then there little supporters giving it likes don't half make my piss itch. Where the **** are they, what are they doing to help instead of being mouthpieces on here, therye two faced charlatans that don't do fcukall for the cause yet pretend they do. You mouth at me but do nothing, ******* hypocrites. Put your money where your mouth is and start a go fund me page addressed to BLM and I might start understanding your chest beating warriorness.
Exactly right. There are three schools of thought on the subject: 1. It's dissapointing to see football clubs stopping taking the knee as racism is still clearly an issue in this country. 2. There's not an issue with football clubs stopping taking the knee as they continue to fight against racism in other ways. 3. Good I'm glad. All Lives Matter. BLM are Marxists. 99% of posters on here fall into groups 1 or 2 - which is good to see. Group 3 is a huge issue though.
Ha ha!. Yeah, I'll give you that one Bad choice of words, others make the point far more eloquently than me, that the proper response now is more meaningful action, not gestures. I have long since realised that many people are better at articulating a reasoned point of view than me.
I just don’t get why it bothers you that much, mate. Just turn off the laptop/computer, TV. Don’t engage with it. Rugby union boils my piss but I just don’t engage with it
I've never heard the teacake retort before, in the gamut of insults is it more or less severe than a snowflake, which I assume is the gist?
Sky just asked Frank if it was a unanimous decision within the club and he said no it was all of us who decided ?
You can tell they are grim racists by their incredible anger. Can just feel the blood pressure rising
They make me laugh, I'm still waiting for a go fund me account to BLM obviously you two sweethearts will be digging deep.
