Well deserved. I thought the scoreline flattered Rovers in the end, as I couldn't see them scoring, our defence was so strong. Two superb goals from Morris and Mowatt. The turning point was obviously the triple substitution. The three lads who came on ran their blood to water and Blackburn's defence simply couldn't cope. The more I see of them, the more I like the look of Morris & Dike. I'm a very happy bunny tonight. Fourteen points clear of the relegation places, we've certainly had worse campaigns than the current one! Mowatt was my MOTM, with Sibbick a close second.
Lol on that Blackburn goal. Helik trying to play offside and Brittain full tilt running back and playing him on.
I’m sure Val’s first instruction was - keep us in this league. He’s done that now. I’d like to see us really play football, see what we’ve got & have a proper go at a playoff place. There’s a lot to come from this squad & good to see depth, as we’ll likely lose half a dozen in the summer..
He has had a lot of injuries his career has finally taken off playing with better players. Thanks Norwich!
A really workmanlike performance in very trying conditions on a pitch that is not really ideal to the way we would normally like to play. Agree with a lot of the comments made re- Sibbick, Morris, Dike, Anderson and Mowatt were our stand out performers, but well played every member of the squad who got on the pitch tonight.
Good win that. The substitute front three changed the game for us. Mowatt, though. He’s been absolutely quality since January. Looks like a much more complete midfielder under Ismael. No idea how he had the energy to get up the field for our second.
Well said, big man. I often find these scrappy results more satisfying than battering teams. Which we haven’t really done yet, this season. I think we’ll have freedom to really play til end of the season. No doubt, Val has other game plans. I’m really getting to like the bloke, but Premier league will have already noticed, I’m sure..
Amazing how different people see things. I thought it was a rewind to 99/00 once Morris got going. Mowatt looked rejuvinated as an attacking threat when the ball stuck and Blackburn tired and couldn't beat our press.
