    The tense someone speaks in says a lot about their intentions. Women who have affairs and liars talk a lot in the past tense.

    If he's decided he wants to stay north, it does make it a difficult decision for him, looking at the options;

    Preston - Could give him a similar role in the team, but they've had a bit of a rebuild this season so don't know how good they'll be. Not sure they'll be offering massive amounts either
    Boro - Not sure if Warnock would give him much license to get forward, or how long Warnock will be there
    Forest - In a relegation scrap at the moment, probably brought Hughton in as a stop gap to keep them up.
    Derby - Another relegation scrap, but the idea of working with Rooney might be appealing
    Blackburn - Best to steer clear.

    Not sure what other options are? We pay wages on time, so that should put him off leaving for Wednesday, and Rotherham's budget is probably lower than ours.

    Wouldn't be surprised to see him at Preston or Boro.

    I can not see him leaving for a better club just a better wage packet, so it's up to Barnsley to match anything anyone else offers, if he does go he will never be their captain and star player like he is here.

    Just a thought on Mowatt’s future. But he has just bought a new house in Sprotbrough, Doncaster which is currently being renovated, which suggests he plans to stay local. He isn’t Premiership quality, but definitely upper Championship quality. So his perfect fit is a local, upper Championship team...maybe beginning with a B, and perhaps ending with ‘arnsley’.

    I'm in agreement, but would be very disappointed in him. That would confirm its all about the cash and not the ambition. There's nowt wrong with that if you're up front and honest about it, but don't pretend it's more than it is.
    Has anyone actually expressed an interest?
    We should be matching any northern championship club. Would he be of interest to Burnley, Newcastle or god forbid the blunts. I don't think so and hope not.
    But I'm rambling.......

    Perhaps he has a problem with the way he "dresses".
    Maybe has to even up the pressure within by swapping knees or would end up squeaking instructions to his playmates.
