We have 17 games left. To get 44 more points we’d need to win 14, draw 2 and lose only one game. There’s optimistic and there’s just plain daft! We are a decent side in decent form but we’re nowhere near that level sadly. I think that red wine has been laced with something buddy!
On that optimistic viewpoint is the equivalent of going to bed with Julia Roberts and waking up with Alf Roberts.
At our current PPG we'd get another 24 points. We'd more than likely need more than that for a playoff place. But if the guys up front can be more effective then it's a possibility.
but VI's PPG is 1.72, which accounts for another 30 points. 72 points at season's end, can we do it? I think we're setting the bar too low at 50 points. Let's have a go for North of 70 points and see what happens
Are you getting any of the Saharan sand storms at your end of the Med? We had one a week ago across south eastern Spain and more is expected next couple of days. No damage as such just a mess to clean up.
I don't think he set a bar at all. He says that his first target is to get to 50 points as soon as possible which is the usual safety figure. The qualifying words being as soon as possible and he will then re assess. He hasn't said that's his one and only target.
