That will be fun that by that point some of the country will be waiting for a 4th jab (based on older people having a 3rd booster this Christmas) but we will still have to wear masks at a indoor setting. Saturday nightlife will never be the same again for nightclubs, theatres etc.
A couple of points. 1) There aren’t any exams this year. Again. So I think your prioritisation of years is the wrong way round. Years 11 and 13 have had their academic careers already ruined so if I agreed your step wise approach (which I very much don’t) there’s no point patching in a few weeks when they’ve got no exams to take. You’d be better off focusing on 10 and 12 who still have an outside shot at their academic life not being totally wrecked. 2) The leaks I read say there will be further delay to sports clubs and they will be later than schools, not at the same time as per your post. For football and rugby this will likely mean their seasons are cancelled, which i suspect is the whole point of the delay.
As a profession teaching has one of the lowest mortality rates per 100k according to the ONS in December as an occupation. M - 18/100K F - 10/100K If i recall correctly.

No doubt the increase in levels caused by schools going back will put the scuppers on this date and plunge us back into lockdown purgatory.
Who's going to enter a nightclub if you have to wear a mask or a theatre if you have to sit wearing a mask for a couple of hours. Over here people seem to accept anything that's asked of them no questions asked, whilst in Australia they boo the idea of being vaccinated.
Considering you quoted a reply to a conversation with me can I make it abundantly clear I'm not taking anything out on anyone - strangers, family, work colleague or close friends. The exchange just then was light hearted and amicable.
No mate was definitely not referring to you! I chose that quote because the poster referred to these discussions as cyclical.
Absolutely no need to apologise, I'm not blaming these selfish sods for the pandemic but they are doing nothing whatsoever to bring our lockdown to a swift end. I.M.O. they are gathering & spreading, let's just get this lockdown 5hit over & done with.
My sentiments exactly. Lockdown loons is another term that's been banded about, like you say puzzling.
Me too I have a week away booked the last week of April already cancelled/moved from November New Year and March. I have to take the annual leave by end of April anyway so if the April one doesnt go ahead its a weeks staycation at home, and rearrange that one for the autumn . Its a pain and annoying for me, but for the hotels its far more serious - I fear many may not reopen, same goes for much of the rest of the leasure industy
As everyone knows, all facts come from man int pub. With the pubs currently closed im dismissing anything im told as untrue flim flam
