Unfortunately it's not mopping the bogs on C wing .......

Bristol Rovers. He did a decent job at Fleetwood but he's nowt but trouble.

Bet the contract details were a nightmare with his impending court case.

Bloody hell. I would not be happy with that if I were a City fan.

He was a lot younger and the alleged offences didn't happen at work, unlike Barton's.

If I were a City fan I'd be delighted that he was going to Rovers....

True but he's supposed to be a role model and broke the law ... still could have ended up inside and where would that have left us.

I'm always intrigued with situations like Barton and Wilks. If I went for a job tomorrow and Id an impending and serious court case I'd never get a look in. Even (yes Covid hasn't helped) the legal system has granted him a trial post season so it would appear if he does go down it'll not be during game time.

As I said earlier the contracts surely have to take these situations into consideration .........

Or me - past convictions would be flagged up as well on a DBS. This incidents have been pretty public - suppose their only defence at the moment is innocent until proven guilty

In fairness, everyone involved in the Barton case - witnesses etc - work in football so they had no choice but to do it post-season.

My point is I suppose if me n thee got summoned to court for a Friday night town centre brawl we wouldn't have a date to go to court choice.

Back int day I had to use most of my holiday days to attend court in Huddersfield (8-9 times) just for it to get thrown out..........

It's disappointing as I have always had a bit of a soft spot for th Gas. I saw them at Eastville 50years ago when I first went to Bristol. My first digs were just round the corner from the Memorial Ground which was rugby in those days.

What a terrible thing to say.

He’s an arsehole but in fairness he did a good job at Fleetwood & when he isn’t having his moments of madness he comes across as having a great knowledge of the game & was completely honest about his own & his own teams strengths & weaknesses.

I wouldn’t want him to manage my team because he’s an arsehole & because he seems like a ticking time bomb but he’d probably do a decent job before he loses the plot so I can see why he’d get a job.
