Really? Even better then we’ve had their pants down and given them a good pegging there.

Brown joins the B list of players we’ve sold over the years. Chris Barker, Scott Goldbourne & Marley Watkins are another 3 in that list. They did ok for us but wouldn’t get near your best ever reds 11.

Funny I always thought jacobs strong points were his pace, workrate and crossing. Many times I watched him beat a man on the wing and put a good cross in or a pull back. His assists stats for us were excellent and without him we wouldn't have been promoted from league one or stayed up last season.

Anderson, Mowatt, Styles, Woodrow, Helik, should all take note if they are considering jumping ship in the near future.

Pinnocks done well and Hourihane got to play in the Premier league most of the others don't seem to have achieved many highs in their careers since moving on.

Lets pay these players as much as we can afford and keep the majority together for a few years.

He's definitely more effective as a winger than a striker

He’d fit very well in Val’s system but I can’t disagree with too much that’s been said by the Stoke fans.

I’d choose Brown over Frieser right now but I guess Frieser should get the settling in time.

He’s loads better than Frieser & Adeboyejo & I prefer him to Chaplin.

I don’t really feel he suits Stoke. As a forward he suits a pressing style or as a wide man he’s great at getting low crosses in but for a team with the likes of Fletcher & Vokes up top I don’t really think he supplies the types of crosses they need & they won’t be pressing

Lots of time for Jacob Brown. Played with real passion, left everything out on the pitch. His move suited both the club and the player, only wish him well in the future, apart from midweek.

my personal opinion is that Brown offered and would offer a lot more than Freiser, especially with the way we’re playing under Ismail.

I’d be delighted to be proven wrong but I just don’t see a lot from Freiser.

I also think Brown was massively underrated by many on this board.

Brown got quite a few assists, mainly for Chaplin, but that seemed to be mainly before lockdown when we were playing a diamond formation. We struggled for goals after lockdown, and he was part of it.

Right now, if we had to pick our best front three, I'd probably pick Morris, Dike and Woodrow. With Chaplin next. Brown would be ahead of Vic and Frieser in the pecking order, but I suspect Frieser cost us a lot less than Brown cost Stoke.

Great player for us and I’d have him back in a heartbeat. In our current formation and playing up front on the right would have suited his game to a tee. Agree that he falls into the category of players that left and didn’t do as well on the pitch at the moment, but whilst those players treble and quadruple their wages, it isn’t an argument we’re ever going to win.

The sad reality is that "success" for most players is to receive monies that most people couldn't even dream of earning, and doing so over the course of just a couple of years.

Yes, for a select few, they may get some memories along the way, but if its a choice of up to £80,000-£100,000 a month for 3-4 years, or £20,000-£30,000 a month for 2-3 years, it really is a no brainer for a player, even if they think they'll be getting splinters in their backsides over that time.

This season the stats of Brown and Frieser are very similar so I don't think we've been weakened.

I don't think they are though I think freiser has 1 assist and 2 goals so far this season. Jacob brown was top for assists last season.

Although is all we have, not sure it’s fair to compare using that as system is different.

I was just stating that dreamboy is incorrect as browns stats last season for us were far better than freisers this. And from what I've seen so far of freiser I'm not all that impressed tbh.
