Not sure if he’s injured or not, but the views from Ipswich fans didn’t seem too favourable, when he was playing.
I was watching the Leeds game on Sky while I waited for the Championship to kick off, and the commentators were saying that if you play for Leeds under Bielsa you need to be able to play wherever he puts you, or at least put in a shift at a position in which you might not feel comfortable. The system is more important than the individual. Made me think of Thomas. Reading between the lines I suspect we didn't particularly want rid of him, but what we were offering isn't what he's after. I wonder if he'll look at how we're pushing on now and wish that he was still part of that front 3 rotation.
When Thomas joined I thought he would be real asset taking defenders on at pace to take a man out, create space and lay off a decent ball. However, in very few games I think he's shown glimpses but on the whole I think he has disappointed. I wonder if he needs to get his mindset and confidence sorted before he has any chance of showing what I still think he is capable of.
