    what about trying to bat properly and tiring the opposition out on a hot day for maybe another hour.

    What do India least want to do? Bat under lights. We could have them 4 or 5 down and in trouble themselves. It's like a Champion Snooker player being brought down by the other player keeping missing. We could be that crap we make them drop to our level.

    India should be allowed to put England in again because of the severe embarrassment of that batting “performance”. Then go out and knock off what’s required by the end of Day Two.

    That's why I wanted our bowlers to get into them and said I wasn't bothered about the runs. I do know runs matter but wanted Anderson and Broad tearing into them as soon as I realised we weren't going to get much over 100 with the bat.

    Just read on the BBC website that in the last Day/Night test in India, the Indian spinners didn't take a wicket. Only the 9 wickets this time! :D
