We’ve planet something like a million trees since the announcement with the Eden project. The 2,000 acre forest is actually going to be even bigger and has the capacity for 8 million trees to be planet - big announcement on that coming soon.

I can’t even pretend to understand the scoping behind the announcement, but Professor Mike Berners-Lee and his team did all the calculations before the official Carbon Negative noise. We also measure scope one, two and three whereas most companies are just working the upstream of scope one and two.

Strictly speaking it's a grass, their stems are hollow sections and do not include xylem.

Alan Nixon in his column today says Birmingham and Salford both want Rob Edwards as their next boss. They will struggle to keep hold of him.

But how green is the process of changing coffee grounds into fibre - greener than organic cotton?

Almost certainly Cotton production is very water intensive and has devastated some areas That’s before you start on the employment conditions of many workers. Use of pesticides and dyes etc

Where as we have owners who fly hither and thither across the globe accumulating clubs, with scant regard for their impact on the planet. There only green credentials is a synthetic football shirt we've never won in.

To be fair I think our pies are vegan. Well the meat and potato one I had a few weeks ago certainly seemed to be...

There's a reason it's called potato and meat not meat and potato...
