If you deliberately pour red wine on your carpet should you be able to claim because you pay your house insurance? My thoughts are unless there is a medical reason that you cant be vaccinated then you should be to help drive this terrible virus down, i dont understand why anyone wouldnt.
If 20 million people have had the vaccine before you some of the elderly weakest people around why would you refrain from having the jab until further tests are done. We need to get rid of this virus and get back to oakwell.
I understand medical reasons all the others shouldnt override whats the best way to get shut of this virus. If my wife couldnt get treatment because the hospital bed is taken by someone who didnt have the vaccine because they didnt think it was ethical then xxxx me.
When the NHS was formed, it was to treat free of charge to.............................................everyone.
Perhaps I fancy starting a family in the near future. Perhaps I have allergies and want more information about how it could affect me both short and long term. Perhaps I feel that there isnt enough discussion testing and research into longer term side effects. Perhaps I live a holistic lifestyle and avoid putting unknown and non organic toxins into my body. Perhaps I am confident that my body is healthy enough to fight of most mild infections as Covid 19 is in the vast majority of people. Perhaps I dont like being coerced by peer pressure into taking a medical intervention.
Is this true? I’ve just had a quick google search but couldn’t find anything, shocking if true considering they’re working amongst elderly people
I always respect your view but i cant agree, after what we ve all been through over the last 12 months anyone who doesnt get vaccinated is totally irresponsible and should be accountable in some way.
I fully respect your view but personally disagree. Thats why we start these threads to see peoples points of view.
Genuine question mate, if they bring the vaccine passport in would you have the vaccine or chose not to go on holiday until further tests are done? Obviously only relevant if you travel abroad of course.
Not a problem owd warrior, we'll have to agree to disagree. Although I can't think why anyone wouldn't get vaccinated, even after reading some replies on here, just go & get a jab.
they are protected characteristics barring "ethical" which would depend on the individual persons own reasoning's and how those beliefs are interpreted to how it would fit in to a definition under the equalities Act. The NHS has a duty to care for everyone regardless of the patients background. If you wife is unable to get a bed because of person X, firstly you wouldnt know if they had a vaccine or not and secondly even if that information did come to light the issue lies with the hospital its self. Not the poor bugger in the next bed. Also, if your wife while she in in hospital, she needs and urgent blood transfusion. Would you turn it down if it came from an unvaccinated source? Finally, if the vaccine left your wife or daughter barren or caused complications in the pregnancy then what?
Honestly, a vaccine passport to travel abroad wouldnt make a jolt of difference to me as i dont really do flying.
Me neither mate, I get folk might be fit and healthy but never show symptoms but they could pass it on to someone more vulnerable. I wouldn’t want that on my conscience.
Its from the Toryograph so likely to be paywalled so excuse my C&P Almost a quarter of NHS staff in some parts of the country are refusing Covid jabs, with official statistics showing more than 200,000 health and care workers putting patients at risk. NHS figures show that 91 percent of front line healthcare staff across the country have taken up the offer of a vaccine, but that dips to 76 per cent in London – the worst refusal rate. In total, more than 41,000 front line healthcare workers in the capital, including medics, hospital porters, cleaners and laboratory staff, have not had the jab. The national picture among care home staff is even worse, with uptake of less than 73 percent. The statistics show that around 106,000 front line healthcare staff and more than 121,000 care workers have yet to take up the vaccine. Its something like one in five over 80's in areas of Bradford have refused. Predominately the Asian community.
I saw something similar from in the Times from back in December so didn’t take much notice to be honest, I honestly thought if there was any truth in it then it would be all over the news. I’m all on believing the dates on newspapers.
Its still something they re trying to answer it seems, the effect on fertility and pregnancies as well as in women who have recently given birth. How doe sit affect breast feeding, the infant etc. Pfizer have only just started looking into this over the last few days.
If I can't get hospital treatment because a fat baßtard is taking up a bed due to self inflicted health problems then xxxx me? If I can't get hospital treatment because someone had or too many to drink and is taking up a hospital bed then xxxx me? If I can't get speedy cancer treatment because one of the 200,000 a year who are having cancer treatment for smoking are taking up a cancer bed then xxxx me? See how ludicrous you sound? Or are is it only this one specific issue you are allowed to make such a stupid claim with?
