...We must lose at some point but..... The current situation is if we win our game in hand we are only 6 points off an automatic promo spot (alright effectively 7 if you look at the goal difference which is probably a bridge too far to make up). Unlikely I know, but we can dream! As some have already said, on current form, the teams above (apart from Norwich) must be looking over their shoulders based on our performances and form of late. We are winning without, IMO, having yet achieved full potential. I do not for one minute subscribe to those commentators and one or two on here who believe we are 'overachieving'. I am, however, surprised at how quickly such a young inexperienced team combined with a manager with no real experience of English Championship football have gelled and become such an effective cohesive unit. UReds!!!
if we get to last game and need to win to go up and Norwich are champions, unless they are looking for 100 points (even that is no excuse ).if they beat us or draw I will organise a bonfire on car park and people are welcome to throw anything Norwich related on to it, Delila smith cook books,to start with please feel free to suggest anything we can burn but no live canaries, any dead ones that lived a happy life and need cremating are welcome, old sale of the century prizes will be vetted to see if they give off poison smoke, some of those 70s settees had dodgy fillings
It’s almost like football is football and “experience of the English game” is pointless statement in the modern world. Who’da thunk it.
I think to sneak into the top 2 we need Brentford, Watford and Swansea to slip up in the next few games. They've got tougher spells after that - if they go into them only 8 poins ahead of us then we're in with a sniff! The gap might be slightly too big for us though, unfortunately
The current top few, Brentford and Reading in particular will also be watching Cardiff....doing well in the last 6 games.
