I've had a bit of time on my hands this morning and as such decided to peruse the lower echelons of the division due to the fact the footballing minions of the Championship don't fall into our thoughts now that we are a European powerhouse in the making. I digress....

Huddersfield ......... chuff me! Only a few points above the drop and teams have games in hand on them aswell. I didn't realise they were looking at dropping into the brown stuff. Had it in mind they were comfy mid table.

Looked at fixtures for the others in and around aswell. After a quick pike it Birminghams looks scary. And Derby play Wednesday and Brum in their last 3 fixtures.

Think the relegation run in could mirror last season's with multiple combinations going into the final week.

Strange club Huddersfield. They got promoted playing negative, boring football without a mojo. Then played negative, boring football whilst they were there and then have carried on in the same vein back in the Championship. I think it's because they play in boring colours.

I haven't forgiven them for September 2002. It was a scrappy, generic 1-0 away defeat. Nowt special. But it was my first away game as a kid, and when I came home my little brother had broken my PlayStation 1 and my pet chipmunk had died. Barstewards.

Dean Hoyle spent a fortune trying to get them into the Championship, once they hit the Prem he took the money out and disappeared.

I always class them in the same bracket as Blackpool and Sunderland.

    Ooh to be a....

We are all Terriers tonight that's for sure. Don't get too excited if they take the lead though as they have lost two dozen points from a winning position this season.

In all seriousness I did the same Gaz, I didn’t realise that Huddersfield were in a relegation fight either, league one is going to have some decent teams in it next season, I’d hate to think we were having to try get out of it.

My mate’s a big Hudds fan and thinks they’re deep in the dog poo. Apparently they’re rubbish and the game against Brum was terrible from both sides.

I'm unbeaten at the John Smith's Stadium. I went when we lost in 2006 but I was turned away at the away end by police for being drunk. I was saved the sheet performance. Went into the Gas Works club, kicked out for falling asleep and then went for the train to Leeds and woke up in York. Didn't find out the result until I saw my mate back in the pub in Pontefract who asked where TF I'd gone. The two wins were 2004 0-2 Conlon and Williams and the 1-3 in the Play-offs in 2006 where I was more sober.

My first away game for the Reds - 78/9 (?) and they beat us 1-0 in an evening kick-off.

Just looked up the match. How poor were Huddersfield to only score one with those as the first five names on the team sheet....

From memory Ward had a goal disallowed for offside which looked on to me, a header aswell.

I don't get that a team who recently were in the PL, who are still receiving parachute payments, who spent frugally up their, are now in the bowels of the league, I know its happened to teams before and will happen again, it goes to show I suppose that money alone doesn't get you success or in their case even just stability on the field, tbh I hope no Yorkshire club goes down, even Wednesday, not that I like them in anyway but I'd rather have a Derby with Wednesday than a possible game with Peterborough next season ( if we don't go up )
