Not sure how it works for the footballers who will be playing in multiple countries within a couple of weeks of each other (which in itself seems crazy). But normally you have to quarantine till you get the result of a test you take on 5th full day (assuming it’s negative)
Given the number of players they’ve picked, wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t actually leave the country and joins up with them for their game at Wembley
Happy for him. I didn’t think he’d get one as I’d assumed there would be plenty of Polish defenders playing in the top divisions in Germany & other European leagues. Hope he plays against England
Think if they’re moving between elite bubbles they don’t have to quarantine. Same reason Dike didn’t have to!

Helik has had a great season and come on leaps and bounds under VI, this is well deserved and a great advert for Barnsley FC and the management team.
Interesting that, the SKY commentator called him a Polish International the other night, I presumed it was just an error, perhaps they knew. Well deserved for the lad.
Nothing on his Twitter either. Maybe they're going to announce all the international call up a in one go?
I actually thought he struggled a bit at first. I wasn't alone, my friend who I speak to more about football than anyone else thought the same. It's not an old school ties club, we disagree more than agree. I thought he was hiding behind some great performances from both Sol and Mads, and when he was called upon he was making mistakes. He was dropped and Halme was brought in, who I thought was excellent. Halme was injured and Helik brought back in and he hasn't looked back. He's been superb for weeks if not months now. Just brilliant. This call up is well deserved and the Polish manager would be stupid not to. Helik's only problem would have been getting noticed, but once anyone watched him they'd put him straight in to an international squad with no qualms at all. Which is clearly what's happened here. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him start. He's got everything. He's a a colossus. Further up the thread someone compared Helik to Pinnock. Pinnock is my favourite Barnsley player ever (I'm deadly serious about that). I think he's got everything. Is Helik as good? Not quite, but he's getting very close.

Most PL clubs are refusing to release players/ My understanding is that Poland are not playing in any red list countries, so he will have to isolate at home on his return, but will return to UK on the 28th -29th Mar. This may not be in time to be eligible for the Reading game. Best for us (and him) if he stays here and makes his debut against England.
Great news for him and his value. Bad news for the club in regards to a promotion push. He misses out on 2 weeks of training and rest under Big Val. Always the case - a victim of his and the club’s success. Purely from a selfish BFC point.
it was me mate. I’m sure we had a conversation a few years ago when I was trying to persuade you that Pinnock was brilliant and would play in the premier league, so you know how highly I rate him and he too is one of my favourite players all time. I appreciate that they’re slightly different players but I’m struggling to see what’s missing in Heliks game. He has everything, even goals, which is the jewel in the crown. Fancy him to score today. COYR.
Don’t think it will have a huge impact on our promotion push to be honest. He’ll come back raring to go.
