Brilliant result, I'll take a crappy win all day long !!! More than one way to skin a cat as they say. It's easy to forget how far we've come and so quickly, the lads must be absolutely buzzing.
OH. MY. GOD. What a strike from a terrific young footballer. That goal deserved to win any match. Particularly a match like that. I never thought it was going to go in. He took the game to a different level.....and yes...Carlton Morris. A wonderful young footballer. Said it before ....so strong, so skilful, so aware. He really is a class act up top. He has an uncanny ability to always do what the defenders don' t expect him to do. His close control of the ball id second to none. Blown away by what we're achieving this season. Thank goodness for the BBS at times like this and being able to share our thoughts with the fans on here who actually watched the game. It's kinda like we're all at home but we're all together in spirit. Thank you BBS. COY 6th in the league REDS!!
Later on in the second half I thought we played some good stuff and looked far from vertical. There's plenty with the ability to get the ball down and play a bit more, something I've thought we've not done enough of.
Mowatt certainly takes Val's instructions to heart and operates a work to rule approach. He lumps it without bothering to look round and see what's on.
Why am I reading this post as a dig towards an excellent championship player and also the captain for our best ever winning run.
Because you must be that way inclined. I'm talking about how he's been told to play, not what he wants to do. He's our best player (in my opinion) although he did get into trouble once or twice today. It is not inaccurate to state that he's been booting the ball away though when it probably goes against his natural instinct.
I thought we lacked a bit of quality first half with our final pass or cross but the great thing is we still won and we know that the players have the ability to play the killer pass so onwards and upwards for me.
Lot many can put Roberts on his ass like Dike did. I wonder why Birmingham keep going with the long throw tactic if it never ever works. Today we must have won nearly every first header from them.
