    Very deluded. I travel a lot globally and other than last year meet with people in Asia, Middle East, Americas, North Europe, S.Europe - yes everywhere. I have yet to hear in football chats anyone to bring up Sheff Wed. Most people who remember any of their success are now dead of course.

    I think this view is coloured by living in South Yorkshire. I live in the midlands, and loads of people still thought of Leeds, for example, as a top flight club in waiting last season (annoying as it was). Maybe they'd think the same about Wednesday if they looked like threatening the playoffs, but even that's debatable. Sunderland are probably bigger in general, and I don't think people round here would be more excited about Wednesday getting to the Premier League than they would about the likes of Hull.

    Are they anymore? It's over 20 years since they were last in the Premier league. 'The deluded' claims they're known worldwide. Well, not by anyone under the age of 30 they're not. And the Premier League wasn't anywhere near as popular world wide 20 years ago as it is now. And it's not like they were big hitters then. They were also rans two decades ago in a league that no one outside England cared that much about, that was still suffering from the bans from Europe and the association with hooliganism from the 70s and 80s. Jose Mourinho was still 2 years away from managing Porto never mind Chelsea when they were relegated. They have the potential to draw large crowds, but they're so long out of the limelight that they're nothing. They have no greater standing either domestically or internationally than we have.
