If the miracle is completed , how would we want to play it in the prem, hope for the best but plan for the worst?, or go all out to stay their?, i,d prefer the former, but i wouldn,t want us to be the whipping boys, i suppose its about spending as little as possible whilst trying to be competative.

I wouldn't want to be like when Fulham went up, wasted 100 million pounds on new players and easily went down.

I wouldn't want to be like when Norwich went up, spent half all on new players and easily went down.

The formula to stay up will be somewhere between the two.

Main thing would be not make the same mistake as in 97/98 which was to wait too long to bring in players such as Ashley Ward and Fjortoft.

We have to be wary of the 25 player squad rule ( maximum 17 overseas players, thankfully no too many of those at the mo.) . So some of those deemed not good enough on the fringes. Would probably be released. We have a good 18+ in the match day squads + 1 or 2 injuries.
How many are out on loan.?
How many are ready for first team football ? In the ranks. .
It wouldn’t be easy to keep everyone happy.

Remain with the same squad and I think we would get battered week in week out, however I wouldn't want to start with a unfamiliar team compared to this season, I would think 3 or 4 quality signing who would come straight in, To add experience at that level

This is my only reservation about going up. The lads who graft and toil to get you there can then be deemed not good enough for the big stage and cast aside to be replaced by high earning Big Time Charlie’s who still take you down, but you’re then back in The Championship with them still stuck on your wage bill but believing they are better than Championship football so effectively downing tools...ie Huddersfield last season and many more before them.

stand by the boys that got you there would be my stance.

The Blunts managed it quite well first season without spending much - came unstuck this year but I bet if they dont panic and get rid of Wilder they will be straight back up - like Norwich this time.
Its difficult to get right. Villa look like they got the balance right but were helped by having Grealish, We dont haven anyone that good but Id be interested to see if Dike and Morris were good enough in the Prem - I think they might be.

Still by no means certain we will make the playoffs - and even if we did winning them will be a challenge - we have managed it twice from the 3rd tier but the only time we tried from this level we failed. I still think our chances of playing prem football next year are quite slim - less than 10%

I don’t even want to think about it. I reckon I’ll just enjoy promotion until eve of the season & book myself in for a lobotomy.. :)

With a bit of canny investment I could see us staying up without having to spend tens of millions. We are a nightmare to play against. Certainly not naive like we were last time. Need a bit more quality in centre mid and lack of goals from strikers would be a worry. But we’d certainly compete

I don't believe the management will want to throw money into the club even if we get into the Premiership. There's plenty of money available from just being there and a good amount of parachute money after relegation. We use that to build on, increase the club's value, enhance the ground and be an absolutely solid championship side for a few more seasons.

    It's a marathon, not a sprint.

I’d be happy with that, if we came straight back down then the club are set for life.
