1,000 AND COUNTING Ticket News It’s been one year since you last stepped inside Oakwell, yet despite the distance, your support remains immeasurable! Continue reading on the official site...
That's fantastic support, up 23% on our best season ticket sales already. Well done everyone and well done everyone at Barnsley FC
Not surprised to be honest well deserved for our performance this season, I just hope that the negativity from our fans in the stands when we can go back doesn't affect the players
Hope this at least shows the players how much we are behind them. I can’t wait to get back, for us to show that in spades. I don’t think I’ve been as proud of a group of players as I am this lot. Which is going some. Probably because of their average age and belief in themselves. Young lads turning into men. Proud of the fans response also. This has been a difficult year for everyone and the club has played its part in keeping up the spirits. So glad I’m not a fowl at this time. As far as negativity. It’ll allus be waiting in the wings. Those folk just can’t help themselves. The little blip of results showed that. Even given our opponents at the time. Some folk eh,
I usually get mine a couple of days after April pay day but gone for early March this year. Must be the form we’re in!
Got mine today. Car park ticket rolled over. I'm an old gimmer but that's going to be the cheapest price in the Premier League next season.
I would be interested to know how many people have upgraded to Reserve Plus for next season, as the offer was very good. @YTBFC is it too soon to tell or identify that?
The backing and support of the fans through tough times and good is never anything less than amazing. Based on 1000 being a 23% increase on our best ever season that means even in the first week of season tickets being on sale when we made the Premier League we can't have sold more than 700? Sounds wrong to think we had made the top flight for the first time ever and struggled to sell an average 100 a day.
Yes that does sound strange. I think we sold out the STs for the PL very quickly, but can't recall how quickly. I presume as the data pre-admin isn't available, that it must be something to do with that and it's our best ST sales since circa 2002
I don't think we even started selling season tickets til June/July back then and early birds were just some whimsy for a future time. We sold out of season tickets pretty quick though, my mate went to renew all of our group and he was queuing for hours! Bless!
I was a life long Ponty Ender but could only get a seat in the West Stand with the old codgers. Now I'm an old codger, I'm back in the Ponty
I was second in queue for season tickets, then lolled about for a couple of hours looking at the queue and walking round the stadium Mid morning ish, all the players and DW came onto the pitch for a team photo, so I sauntered on the pitch, had a chat with all of them and got them all to sign autographs. The only paper I had was my season ticket letter lol Needless to say I still have that letter
Didn’t the history get lost around the time of admin/Patrick’s takeover? My guess is it doesn’t include anything before that time.
Can't be including Premier season because we were all camped outside Oakwell the day they went on sale.
Hats off to the marketing department, put them out at exactly the right moment. They could have the biggest sales for 20 years regardless of where we finish up.
So looking forward to the first home game when there are no crowd restrictions. (Possibly Aug?) Would be fantastic if we could pull off an enormous crowd, with an incredible atmosphere, regardless of whether we are Prem or Champs. Been attending as a disabled fan for years, and struggled up a few steps into the West stand upper, but I have at last become a Ponty ender, in the raised disabled area. Cannot wait, and got my season ticket booked in early.
I spent all day yesterday ringing the office to be asked that due to volume of calls to " ring back later please ", the same happened today until at 4.30 someone actually spoke on the end of the line instead of a recorded message & I renewed mine & my Grandsons season tickets , not grumbling , found it frustrating , however the flip side is that is shows how busy they are at the moment , good news !
Very busy, and still working to COVID-enforced rules, so skeleton staffing levels. The response from fans has been incredible so far. Glad you're sorted buddy.
