Life doesn’t always have to be about who beats who, we can enjoy them both and enjoy the ride.

Wilsons football in his 1st spell was great and the best I've witnessed, his 2nd was the worst I've witnessed and that's my honest opinion.

2nd most enjoyable football for me was stendels season it was great to watch at a league below granted. Enjoying val and were punching its great and long may it continue.

Tough one, but has to be Danny, the football his team played was brilliant. He only blotted his copy book by defecting. Still not forgiven him for that. Whatever VI achieves at Barnsley I expect no better.....

He won't Helen:) I've already explained that me and @JLWBigLil are going to barricade Big Val in the car park, so he can't leave. :)

Absolutely. If he gets us up he will overtake what Bassett achieved for us.

Bassett had abit bigger budget to play with than val has. Shipperly, higgy, dyer would be well out of our price range in todays money

    Not even close.

Danny did the impossible against some very tough teams playing the most dynamic sensational football.

    Depends what the question is.

If it’s “who would you rather be in charge right now” anyone that picks Wilson needs their head checking. If it’s who is the bigger legend for the club or who did better overall for the club it’s got to be Wilson, with the caveat that I think Big Val would eclipse that if we go up this season, when you consider where we were last season and where we were at the start of this.

Wilson got us up playing some lovely football but was somewhat lucky in the way a bunch of unknowns and discards gelled together at the start of the promotion season.
Ismael plays a style of football much less easy on the eye but has a system and mindset that makes us incredibly hard to beat.
I'd say it's impossible to call at the moment. What we need for a true comparison is for Ismael to manage us in the top division next season.

Its impossible to call , simply because you can judge Wilson because his time at the club ran its course whilst Vals time is in its infancy , you can only make a comparison when Val moves on . I cried buckets when Danny got us to the promised land ,lets hope I am getting the kleenex out in a couple of months ! Great time back then & right now

Exactly. And without the change in the club that Clarkie brought about, none of this would have happened.

Val for me purely based on how he as turned around a poor team from last year to where we are now, thats some motivator, man manager, tactician right there. Plus I think the league we are in now is a much better standard/ grade to that of 96/97.

Yeah think we lost 1st 5 under struber at start and he came on and turned it around and yes football has changed alot since 1996 bournmouth paid 11million for there goalkeeper who was in goal yesterday thats alot.more than we have for the whole of our starting 11.

Val because I never saw us play the first time round under Wilson - the second time round we lost 6 away in a row in League 1 without even trying to win - I was at all of them

I think it will be a greater achievement to win promotion this season, if it happens (still very much odds against), because the disparity in finances between clubs is vastly greater now than it was in 1997. Our record of 57 points in 29 games under Val is exceptional and compares well with 80 in 46 in the promotion season of 1997. In view of all this, I have to go for Val.
