Been banned from Tykes Talk...

    I've been banned from Tykes Talk for setting up the BBS Facebook Group 4 years ago. @Loko the Tyke too.
    I may have slightly renamed it a couple of months back to ensure it was clear we were talking about the tykes ;) That was my own doing and had nothing to do with @Loko the Tyke so I don't know why he's been banned. Guilt by association I guess. In fact, he told me it was a daft idea. I didn't listen but it seems like I've got him banned now too.

    I've never slagged off Tykes Talk or any of their admin having said that (and Im not aware of the other two having done that either). I have seen the odd negative comment on here about Tykes Talk but that's all. Are 75% of you slagging them off? (I bet a good chunk are members their as well?)

    There seems to be one or two in there who absolutely hate the BBS but apart from that it just seems like a group of Barnsley fans exactly like us on here. In fairness to them there seems to be one or two on here who also hate them for no reason.

    I support barnsley, you do, they do. Just because we are sat at different tables in a pub discussing the reds doesn't mean we aren't all reds fans

    My own experience... it may differ for other.... tykes talk had more than it’s share of idiots. I joined but had to leave 2 days later. It is 99% Facebook / social media mentality though of not stopping and thinking before posting it appeared

    Sorry gally I don’t think this will get you reinstated! :)

    Someone who used to post on here regularly but got banned constantly blames @Gally for it despite it being totally justified.

    I was on there for years, I was a little uncomfortable with some attitudes re: rainbow corner flags & laces. One poster who went down to Wembley a day early in 2016 Quoted "spot the white man, just saying like"
    Then Brexit kicked in, I'd had enough :(

    The vast majority are top notch, I have time for tykesmad but a few spoil it or at least did, don't know if they still post.

    We're all reds aren't we :D

    I don’t think anyone who posts regularly on there is banned from here, that’s the funny thing.

    Someone claimed they were banned but they’d just forgotten their password.

    Those on Tykes Talk who absolutely hate the BBS are probably exactly the same people who post on here that hate Tykes Talk. Its just one big wind-up :)

    Most of the people on Tykes Talk Facebook and TykesMad forum are fine. But there are a higher proportion of knuckledraggers than there are here, which is why I now only post here. I've seen a lot of racism on the Tykes Talk Facebook group, and a lot of racism on the TykesMad forum. It's thankfully rare here.
