Bit of a daft one I know, but I grew up watching the reds in the Clarke/Hunter era when we wore white socks with red trim. It was always a bit different to most other clubs in red and white, and I'd like to see them back, wodya fink?

I really dislike the hooped ‘Where’s Wally?’ socks.

Are this season’s socks red with pink trim, or did the colours run in the wash?

I like the hoops but didn't know that we used to wear black socks - definitely wouldn't be against that.

Hoops all the way. 96-97 and the 2016 playoff final. I also love it when we play in black shorts, though I'm not sure I'd want that as our permanent kit. I quite liked the all red kit in 88-89 as well.

I like the Hooped socks - big fan. I don't have an issue with the OP white / red trim idea, but the 73/76 versions on your link would look the part in the modern day ......... Red/White/White. It obviously wouldn't look as plain as back then cos there would be names/numbers/logos all over the shop.

I really don't mind what socks we have as long as they follow a style with the rest of the kit. Though i would want to avoid overuse of the hooped socks and trying to play into too much nostalgia.

What I would always advocate is a fixing of our away colours rather than radical redesigns every year. And because of the mining heritage of the town, I would always advocate black.
