My old man used to always tell me a story about when he was a young lad ( 85 now) when he first saw a banana, he kept on just looking at it like I do now with the championship table

I once went for an interview at Airbus but left all my notes on the train and had to 'wing it'.I got in a 'right flap'.

The largest traded "breed" of banana is the Cavendish, named after William Cavendish - 6th Duke of Devonshire. These were first grown in the greenhouses at Chatsworth..

Neither of us are going bananas. This was the 1960s when you would find, on warm sunny Sundays, and bank holidays, people all over the park. The bottom end was most popular where there was a large cafe, excellent playground with good rides and a big slide, the tropical greenhouses and some interesting aviaries full of colourful birds. Some days there was hardly any grass free to sit on because there were so many families there.

    Different times, long gone

I think you can grow the tree outdoors in the UK but you won't get any viable fruit. Best wait for Global Warming to mek it toasty enough.

Sometimes, just sometimes, I feel this Board drifts off into a fantasy land where reality never impinges.

Everything's a fantasy at the moment. Barnsley aren't really in 6th place and on a 11 match unbeaten run. It's just a dream, we're all going to wake up soon :)

Yeah, I hate to admit it but the nerves are kicking in now.

In December, I told people not to get carried away, when we were winning games.
In January, I told people not to over-react when we weren't winning.
Now, I don't know what to say as we're smashing every Barnsley FC record to smithereens :)
