I’ll definitely be cheering Swansea on and in particular, Conor. No way will we catch up on the automatics but getting the gap below us even bigger could be very good. Bournemouth don’t play in the league on Saturday either do they? That gap *could* be pretty big by this time next week.
I agree that catching up on automatics is a long shot - so probably want a Swansea win. However I was looking at what the table would look like based on expected goals / results the other day and interesting to see that Swansea are massively outperforming their expected position. Based on xg they should be down in 13th - so either they are much more clinical in both boxes than other teams or they might be due a bit of a wobble. https://experimental361.com/2021/03/14/expected-goals-table-championship-12-14-mar-2021/
The other day, the wife asked me to pass her the lip balm, but I passed the tube of superglue by mistake. She's not talking to me now
Me too. Basic maths. Numbers will drop 40-50% as games run out. Last match will still see 2.2k possible outcomes in current teams, still in with a mathematical chance of playoff spots. As it is now. & if Rachel Riley is sat on my knee telling me I was in a ball park.?
I'd prefer a Swansea win - that gap looks schitt at just two points - but if it goes the other way, it's a bonus, as we get to see that plank with a face like a bag of spanners moaning about his side being hard done by.
No idea why some people want the opposite of this. We’re not catching the top two, even with my most rose tinted specs on. Hope Swansea turn it around and Cardiff don’t win.
I tend to agree. As much as we’d like automatic, which of course is still mathematically possible, I think catching the top 2 is just a step too far. Maybe if big Val was here from the start then who knows.. Let’s cement our place in the top 6 and what will be will be
