All these I think they will lose. There is absolutely no Fukin chance barnsley will drop any points against Wycombe.
I think we played well at Bournemouth, partly due to the pitch. It was in a fairly good state considering. Ours isn't in great shape, and I think that's partly the reason we've been more comfortable away from home since the turn of the year. I'm not sure what state Wycombe's pitch is in, but if it's anything like Bournemouth's on Saturday, it will play to our favour.
I was there as well and they did. They sucked us in and banged the ball over the top of us and chased it. Can’t dwell on what they did 3 yrs ago though mate, different players and different league, and lots of better teams have tried to take advantage of our high back line and press, without much success. Tough game but these lads are different gravy.
It was a very difficult game when we played them at home, so no reason it will be any different away. A draw wouldn't surprise me, but I'm hoping Dike and Morris can be the difference between the sides.
In the history of being a Barnsley fan, I've seen many a time that one week we've beaten a team we might be expected to lose to, then lost to a team we thought likely to beat. Even moreso when in a positive position. This is going to be a real mental and physical challenge. Completely different pressure too. For me, this would be an even bigger win than Saturday.
Just how I feel about it. I thought that about the Derby game. A lot had given us the three points before the match kicked off and a combination of poor play and bad weather scuppered our winning sequence.
I thought we played into Derby's hands last week, by being obsessed with the "battle", and while I didn't see the Brum game, reports sounded like we were in danger of doing similar then as well. Would like to see Morris start, so he can get the ball down for likes of Woodrow and the midfield to play in their half.
Going 1-4 for this but it could easily be one goal wins tbh. I think if we get maximum points from these next two games we could put a challenge in for second spot after the break and that’s what Val will be telling them imo . I think Watford will take some shifting from their runners up spot but if we keep winning who knows what pressure will do to them .
Just watched Wycombe v Preston again. Their biggest threat and eventual match winner was Tafazoli, the centre half. According to commentary that was the first goal they had scored in 5 games. Reading their forum and there is talk of our badge, our giant center backs and our diet of gravy.
I think it will be similar to walsall away under stendel scrappy game could go either way against a team fighting for there lives. We nicked it that day by a tight 1 nil win on 90th minute hopefully same today. But I don't think it will be a easy game.
