Or similar make? Ring seem to have about 20 models that all do the same thing. I want: * Decent video * Motion detection (perhaps) * I don't have to change the batteries every week * I don't have to subscribe extra to an app? * Can't be ragged off the door or frame that easily. Cheers.
Yeah mate, just recently got a ring gen 2,£89 from Argos, dead easy to set up and really clear video image even at night, can’t tell you how long battery life is but had it running about a month now and still not needed to charge it, no need to subscribe.
You have to subscribe to ring if you want event history and recordings. It's about £25 a year but worth it. The battery should last 2-3 months. Best idea is to get a second battery and keep it charged then just swap them out when it gets low.
I have had mine since October 2019 and never replaced the battery yet, like was mentioned, you will need to pay monthly/yearly for the live recordings after a trial period.
Never replaced the battery in 18 months?!? Is it wired in to the mains? Mine goes every 2-3 months and I have to swap it out.
Get the recordings. especially if you have the motion sensor set up. Youll be surprised how many people neb at your house..
Within two weeks of getting ours it caught someone absolutely shitfaced falling all over the place outside our house at 4am in lockdown. (It wasn’t me)
No, its battery as I had to set it up when I moved in. Maybe you have more visitors than me. People still knock on the door lol
Yeah ive got 2 ring doorbells, and 3 sets of ring floodlights and a couple of other cameras. The doorbells are wired up so I don't need to change the batteries. I've been pleased with them. You do have to pay for the stored videos though.
Thankfully not. He ended up getting arrested after trying to get into our next door neighbours house. Unfortunately for him they are both police. He got arrested on the doorstep.
